Fidgety kid

Has anyone had a fidgety kid, and it be just that? Rather than adhd, spd, dyspraxia.

Is it possible to just be a fidget?

My cousin was one. She just had incredible amounts of energy that needed to be burned up, could never sit still etc. I think she was challenging to parent but is a fabulous adult.

Thanks @SunnySomer
It seems like every single thing you read = adhd

Anyone else?

How old? My DS was a fidget as a toddler - couldn't sit still without wriggling, always on the move. No SEN. But by the time he started school he could sit still.

Is fidgeting the only problem? If there are no other issues I’d say they are probably just a fidget and will
grow out of it.
My dd is a massive fidget and is being assessed for Dcd (dyspraxia) but there are so many other signs not just being a fidget.

Not really other signs. He can be a bit silly
and loud sometimes.

I’ve read a lot about adhd and he’s able to emotionally regulate very well (always has) , he is able to concentrate on things like Lego, board games, films etc. He’s able to take turns in conversations etc.

He used to shout out in class but he’s apparently totally stoped that now.

I’m constantly on the look out for other signs, and it’s hard to know what could potentially be a symptom of something else or not.

My DD is a fidget. She used to squirm in her seat constantly, she looked like she needed the toilet the whole time. She also fiddled with things constantly. I used to have to clear the whole table when she was eating dinner because otherwise she'd knock stuff over, drop things on the floor, make everything mucky. We went through a big fidget toy stage, where she couldn't even sleep without having something to do with her hands. She's largely come out the other side now (age 12). It wasn't an energy thing, more to do with sensory stuff and needing to "feel" the world around her with her body. I'm glad it's over, it was pretty draining.

Interesting @KickHimInTheCrotch That sounds like my son.
