Smell out of carpet

Please help! My daughter wet herself and didn't tell us and it's soaked into her bedroom carpet. The smell is horrible. I've tried everything I can think of inc a vax clean, different carpet cleaning foams/sprays and obv opened all windows. Short of ripping up the carpet, is there anything else I can try?

It will probably have gone through to the underlay.
If you pull the carpet back you may be able to scrub that separately, but probably better to cut a chunk out and buy a small bit to replace. The underneath of the carpet, the backing, probably needs a good scrub too as it will have been sitting pressed against the underlay.
Bicarbonate of soda neutralises odour so once it’s all dry sprinkle some on and leave it as long as possible before hoovering up.

I understand your frustration with the lingering smell on your daughter's bedroom carpet.
Blot the affected area: Start by gently blotting the wet spot with a clean cloth or paper towel to remove as much moisture as possible. Avoid rubbing, as it can spread the stain and push it deeper into the carpet fibers.
Use a vinegar solution: Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray the solution onto the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, blot the area again with a clean cloth. Vinegar can help neutralize odors and break down the stain.
Also have you considered trying a professional carpet cleaning service? They have specialized equipment and expertise to tackle tough stains and odors effectively.

Maybe try the pet enzyme spray from pet shop.

I'd drench it in the pet enzyme soak, it's probably gone all the way through to the floor so you need to drench it equally with the solution

If the smell persists on carpet despite your efforts, try using an enzyme cleaner specifically designed to break down urine stains and odours. After that, sprinkle baking soda on the area, let it sit overnight, and vacuum it up. Or get it professionally cleaned also

Careful with enzyme spray. We used it and initially it was great, but over the next few months it gradually bleached the carpet and now we have loads of big bleached splodges on the floor.

We used the pet urine spray for wee and vomit. If that doesn't help I would call a carpet cleaning expert. That is cheaper than replacing a carpet.
