Ebay v Vinted

Hello, I'm new here. I hope I'm doing this right. I normally sell good clothing I no longer use, on ebay (and have used Vestiaire for anything designer not that I have much of that.) After being on eBay a year, I've got 100% positive feedback and things were pretty ok until I just got my first 'eBay odd-ball.' They requested to return something because they changed their mind and although I don't do returns I agreed they could in order to help them. Next, they started harassing me over return postage and saying they'd report me to eBay if I didn't fund it ect. Anyway, it's put me off. I'm autistic and not very good with that sort of thing. So is Vinted ok and if anyone's experienced at Vinted, does it tend to go smooth? Thank you. :)

If it's just a "change of mind" the buyer has to pay for return postage on eBay. If they've stated "item not as described" you have to pay for return postage.

Returns aren't really a thing on Vinted. Which is great for the seller, not so much for the buyer

Vinted is good but I found that things sell for cheaper than they do on ebay. And people will offer very low prices but you get used it, just decline and move on but expect higher priced items to take a bit longer to sell.

I’m selling a whole heap of things over the next few months (literally hundreds) because I’m downsizing house at some point in the next year or so. I feel eBay is way better for me because the auction format means people tend to actually bid if they see something they like rather than just watch it and never buy (as sometimes happens on Vinted) other than that Vinted is also great. So if you don’t have that time imperative then Vinted works well. Also though, don’t take the eBay weirdos personally, people are absolute pisstakers somethimes but I usually just deal with whatever the situation is and move on. You did the right thing in not paying the return postage if it was just a change of mind (you’d already done enough by accepting the return), let eBay deal with it.
