Toddler coat with attached gloves

Where can I find them?? I’m sure they used to be a thing but I’m really struggling to find any for my 1 year old who won’t keep gloves on. The ones on a long string get pulled out so while they’re an alternative if there’s no other option they’re still not ideal!
Thank you!

Sew the gloves on string in, so they can’t be pulled out.
Ive seen previously where parents put long socks on their toddlers hands/arms so they can pull them out.

AngeloMysterioso · 16/10/2023 08:26

i think Jojo Maman Bebe do them

Dolphinnoises · 16/10/2023 08:26

Jojo Maman Bebe used to have loops with poppers in the sleeves, and sell gloves with the same?

I've seen loads on vinted, a lot seem to be a George at Asda.

Marblessolveeverything · 16/10/2023 08:26

If I remember correctly they were a choking risk and removed from general sale.

genevie · 16/10/2023 08:53

Thanks all, I think for ones that can’t be removed we’d need a footless pramsuit. Or my aunty is pretty good at sewing so I’ll see what she can do. Thank you :)

Sew a loop on the gloves and a button on the inside of sleeve. Easy.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/10/2023 09:22

I loop it through the coat label at back:neck inside the coat

Dd is 6 now. Still do it

I was going to say to see them inside the cuff with a length of elastic but this post has made me wonder. How would attached gloves be a chocking risk?

This is what mothers have done for generations!

Use elastic from a shop that sells such stuff alongside curtain and dress materials, or Amazon. Easy peasy.

kirstysmbc · 16/10/2023 09:26

I think newer ones have gloves that attach to the wrist cuff with poppers or buttons. The old string round the neck gloves were deemed to be a choking risk.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 16/10/2023 09:31

Mitten clips might give you choices.

I still do gloves on elastic for me.
I'm very old, but I work outside, and have gloves on/off all the time in winter.

lightelmqueen · 16/10/2023 09:33

You can get clips that attach to gloves and the cuffs of coats. I've got some from Amazon and JoJo mamam Bebe. I used them last year for all three of my children and never lost a glove. My then 2yr old also had his balaclava attached to the top of his coat with one

I have a vivid mental image of a two year old trying hard to "lose" his balaclava. Brilliant idea!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 16/10/2023 10:18

I used to just sew them onto the sleeves with a bit of elastic.

megletthesecond · 16/10/2023 10:19

I used to sew the gloves to the cuffs with elastic. Surprisingly quick and effective.

CyberCritical · 16/10/2023 11:42

Asda usually do them with little clips on the wrist

Marblessolveeverything · 16/10/2023 12:36

There was talk of a string which can be a chocking risk as can home sewn buttons.
