Someone remind me, can kids go to nursery with chicken pox?

I have shingles, and my kids haven’t had chicken pox yet so I’m guessing they’re going to get it off me? They’re supposed to go to nursery tomorrow. Can’t I still send them or is it best not to? They haven’t got any spots yet I’m just preempting it. I obviously don’t want to make anyone at nursery poorly so I don’t really know what to do.

A pregnant teacher colleague spoke to her doctor when there was an outbreak of chicken pox in the class. The doctor said it was OK she would ONLY have a miscarriage! FFS. I know the OP's child hasn't got it but please don't send children in if you think they have chicken pox.

So many answers I would ask you GP or call 101.

They don't have chicken pox, they have no spots. The OP was worried of them catching chicken pox as she has shingles.

You missed the bit where I said I know the OP's child doesn't have chicken pox.

I think its obvious from the OP that she wouldn't send them in with chicken pox if she was thinking of keeping them off when she has shingles just in case!

I was making a general comment.

My DS caught chicken pox from my shingles, it took about two weeks for his spots to show themselves. I hope you feel better soon OP, shingles is horrible and I imagine super painful around your eye Flowers
