Just watching Graham Norton with Dawn French
Her hair is sharp. She looks her age but also gorgeous. She is also funny and clever. I love her. Totally inspired. Just being a fangirl. Anyone want to join?

I bloody love her. Pointed out her book to DH and DD this morning in a supermarket with a nudge, nudge, wink, wink for Christmas!

PrinceHaz · 14/10/2023 15:54

I like her but who wouldn’t? She’s the go to fan girl person for a big proportion of women.

Stonemaiden · 14/10/2023 15:59

I love her too! Gorgeous picture of her on the front of this month's Saga magazine 😍

motherofawhirlwind · 14/10/2023 16:16

No, no, no.... Butter, then jam, then clotted cream

OrangesLemonsLimes · 14/10/2023 17:10

I saw her in something a while back with Emilia Fox and a young actress who went on to be in Sex Education. I really enjoyed it. I think she’s so talented.

Snozzlemaid · 14/10/2023 18:35

Loved that programme, Oranges.
Another Cornish, Dawn fan here, firmly in the jam first club.

Snozzlemaid · 14/10/2023 18:36

Just had to look up what it was called, 'Delicious'

I worked with her for several years. I can confirm she is bloody awesome IRL.

Really? I heard the opposite from someone who worked at the BBC and was devastated.

DivingForLove · 14/10/2023 18:46

It’s jam first - obviously. And she’s in Cornwall which is how they do it there.

She’s amazing 🤩

DivingForLove · 14/10/2023 18:47

@ButterMyParsnip i know someone who worked with her and said she was fabulous 🥰

derrydee · 14/10/2023 18:56

I've heard a few rumours about her not being nice in real life so it's always put me off - will give GN a go as used to really love her!

CurlewKate · 14/10/2023 19:11

What's crème?

Choughed · 15/10/2023 06:22

CurlewKate · 14/10/2023 19:11

What's crème?

I'm sure she has off days, she is human after all and she's been through some hard stuff. But having spent a lot of time with her she is a genuinely good egg.

Choughed · 15/10/2023 06:23

Sorry that was supposed to be quoting @derrydee !

AppleKatie · 15/10/2023 06:30

I don’t think you can write like she does and be an areshole, doesn’t seem possible so I’m in team fangirl

I also met Jennifer once and she was lovely. Judge people by the company they keep and all that

LaBorde · 15/10/2023 06:41

Love her!

She was on Kathy Burkes’ podcast -Where There’s a Will There’s a Wake, talking about dying and funerals

She wants her hearse to be trailed by a procession made up of her previous lovers (who would then be thrown on the funeral pyre). The coffin itself would be solid gold with a Perspex front, and be raised upright on the Tamar bridge. To top it off, “the front would have two holes with my tits coming through and, if you want, you can rub them for luck as you enter Cornwall.”

I always laugh when driving over, as I can see it in my minds eye 😂

Iamlikesorry · 15/10/2023 07:22

She was on Womens Hour this week too.

Doingmybest12 · 15/10/2023 07:38

It was a great episode of GN all round. A good blend of guests.

MustbeFeverTree · 15/10/2023 07:50

I like the sound of her Anti Perfection League.

Sign me up, Dawn!

Really? I heard the opposite from someone who worked at the BBC and was devastated.

She never seems to come out well on the ‘celebrity you’ve met’ threads.I can’t bear her myself but haven’t seen GN.

AllotmentTime · 15/10/2023 08:36

All you DF fans with Audible should go and listen to her podcast with Jennifer Saunders. It's called Titting About. Two friends who have never grown up just talking about random shit. Completely hilarious.

MustbeFeverTree · 15/10/2023 08:40

I'll give the podcast a go, though I've never been a fan of Jennifer Saunders.

And I was uncomfortable about the way Ade wrote and spoke about Rik Mayal.

LlynTegid · 15/10/2023 09:41

Thank you OP for starting this thread, watched Graham Norton's show on IPlayer.

Saw her in person when I went to a show at the Hampstead Theatre a few years ago. We both saw a wonderful play.

ErniesGhostlyGoldTops · 15/10/2023 16:50

I read her biography. I loved it. I'm so glad she's a diamond in real life.

MustbeFeverTree · 16/10/2023 18:54

Does anyone have a share token for her interview with Hadley Freeman is The Times?
