Reluctant to spend the winter in front of the TV

Dawned on me this evening that the weather has definitely changed and I get so bored just being sat in front of the TV all evening. I'm single and have very few friends.
What else do people do in dark cold evenings? I want to try and get back into reading but I find it very hard to focus.

Yes, @aanniebell every day. I spend my evenings from about 7ish after dinner on my sofa doing a craft in front of the tv til 9ish, then take a cuppa to bed and read. It's what makes me happy, I don't exercise and home is my happy place. Now DC are older I get left alone to do this and I enjoy it. I do seem to do a lot more in summer but when the nights get darker, on my sofa is where you'll find me.

(I do go to choir once a week)
