what is the advantage of an airfrier over a microwave, for example. If you have one, why did you get one, and is it worth the space on the kitchen side? Thank you

My oven broke 3 years ago and it had been repaired at least 3 times so I punished that bastard by ripping it out and taking it to the recycling centre. That’ll show it! I now only have an air fryer. Well 2 actually, a small one that I’ve had years and then I bought a bigger one (with 3 shelves) to be a temporary oven replacement. I haven’t felt the need to get a new oven yet!

Mines mostly used to cook chicken nuggets and chips for the kids, on nights we don't all eat the same (eg. If one needs something quick before a class, or won't eat what we're having). Uses less energy then putting oven on for just one kid portion.

We have the type that's like a mini oven and it has a rotisserie. Brilliant for rotisserie chicken and 'tumbley basket' potatoes, teens heating stuff up and a bit of extra cooking space when I'm doing a roast.

@Soubriquet does for me. I open up the box (either chicken burger or chicken selects) and then tip the fries out into the other side of the box, obviously leave it open and air fry at 200 until it's hot enough.

Does that work?

I can testify that this indeed does work, very well. It’s a god send for limp Maccy fries 😃

Soubriquet · 11/10/2023 18:16

I’ll remember that. McDonald’s is a good 30 mins away now so it can come back cold. I don’t mind cold McDonald’s but hot would be preferable

I cut up a silicone tray so that it would fit in the drawer

I have done it with ramekins- just 2 or 3 in the airfryer

Can you not Google it? This is the first link

it's so tedious when people do this.

why post anything? Just google 🙄

Cos it’s one thing to google it and see people who might ghost write for professionals, and to actually see what real people would post on here.

They do the most fantastic proper chips but thats all we use ours for but personally think they take up a lot of room and are a buggar to clean.

Mine didn't.
It was the one thing I wanted it to do well, and it failed.

I bought a deep fat fryer instead. Perfection.
