She was hardly impacted by her male colleague. She sniggered and simpered along with him whilst she thought he was still in the public favour. Where was the sympathy for her male colleague’s wife and children when he made the totally un newsworthy drama about “coming out”.

she should’ve left the programme along with the male colleague instead of stringing it out and asking people how they were! Also ITV should’ve axed the shitty programme.

of course she doesn’t deserve what has been reported in the news lately to happen to her though.

The PP who said she had been impacted by a male colleague absolutely captured it. Perhaps she was scared to be a whistleblower, there are many unknowns. Her potential courses of action were limited and I wish her well. Only she knows why she chose to behave in certain ways. Hopefully she finds peace and a happier future elsewhere.

How contradictory, on one breath you say she wasn’t impacted and in the other you say she should have went with him.

she wasn’t to blame for him. I’m so sick of people trying to make women responsible for men’s actions. Going on the attack, and now, now she’s add to resign due to threats of violence and people are saying good?

I agree with this. I don’t blame her one iota for quitting. She wasn’t the only one who knew about Phil Schofield, it’s been an open secret for years, probably longer than she’s been a TV presenter. His ‘coming out’ and crocodile tears were damage limitation, he knew it was all about to come to light so he jumped in quick with that announcement.
The vitriol against her culminated in death threats against her and her family. There’s always one nutter wanting their 15 minutes of game by any means.
She will have been terrified for herself and her family.

I wonder if she wanted to leave but stayed to save face… and then this happening presented an appropriate excuse to exit.

We'll have to wait and see if she lays low and stays out of the limelight or whether she appears on a new show. Is she still going to present Dancing on Ice?

I’m not arsed about her either way but the reaction by everyone else seems a bit ridiculous… all solemn speeches and “paying tribute” like someone died, it’s just a tv presenter quitting her job.

It’s not though is it. If it was it wouldn’t be on the news. It’s a woman being forced to resign because she was targeted by a group of incel men for kidnap, rape and murder , and came very close to that happening, and is now too scared to be on live day time tv every day.

Completely agree @Janieforever - Im not a fan of Holly but feel bloody angry that she's had to give up her job because of the threat against her. Live TV every day would make her so vulnerable to a targeted attack. At least with pre-recorded TV, she can jeep her movements mote private / protected.

I find this disgusting. I don't even see that it was breaking news to be honest. Woman quits a way past its sell by date tv show is NOT breaking news. Even if it were breaking news no way on earth should a reporter in the middle of a war zone be reporting it.

I thought this too. Woman getting blamed as usual. An incel plans to murder her and she sadly has to leave her job!
