Has anyone ever won anything decent on the McDonald's Monopoly promotion?

The most I've ever won before this year is an apple pie. This year I've won a cheesy bacon flatbread!

I remember years ago (before promotion laws changes) that you won cash if you collected a property set.

Has anyone here ever won one of the big prizes? Car, holiday etc?

You should watch McMillions, its all about how this game was a massive scam back in the day. I'm sure it is better regulated now though.

My son won the coke zero or milkshake prize.

Except when he went to redeem it they had run out of coke zero and the milkshake machine was broken. How very fucking convenient.

Being autistic he just meekly accepted and left rather than tell them how fucking convenient (and demand an alternative).

Anyway, when they did the Trivial Pursuit challenge back in the early 90s a kid in our year won a 14" TV.

I've won both of those. You can probably get a 3 month free trial to Readly anywhere (or the same thing free forever via the library) and the Tui voucher is only worth it if you're currently looking at booking with them. I suspect the 10% off at Buyagift is probably equally shite.

I have had an apple pie, 6 chicken nuggets and couple of small fries this year (well DP has, he goes about twice a week but CBA scanning/collecting the tokens so he just gives them all to me).

In the past, the best prize I've ever had was 3 months free Now TV.

I don't doubt that the big prizes exist but there's only a handful of them and millions of people a day eat at McDonalds so it's no surprising that most people have never known anyone who's won them.

My cousin won a trip to Disneyland a couple of years back.

I’m fairly rare at McDonald’s (before anyone starts, it’s just because pizza is my junk of choice - if domino’s did this I’d be quids in!) but last week we had an early drive and went through a drive through for breakfast. Off the back of 4 breakfast meals we got a free McMuffin and a free hash brown! I’ve stashed them in the car for the next time we’re off to the in laws - will mean we only have to pay for 3 breakfasts next time so I’m happy 😁

I swear I’ve never heard of anyone winning big prizes on any of the major competitions, or the lottery or the ITV competitions or the premium bonds. Either my friends and family are very unlucky or it’s a giant swizz 😂 but I don’t know anyone who’s ever done jury service either and I don’t consider that a swizz… so who knows

My eldest daughter won a £200 experience day voucher a few years ago.

I go to McDonald's quite often (yes, I know it's SO terrible, don't need a lecture) this year I've won 2 free drinks, a free hash brown, free fries, a month's subscription to Lionsgate, 20% off footasylum and fridge magnets with a family photo on them?? I have 2 McMuffins, a McFlurry and a Coke Zero saved on my app but also won the £75 off a £750 holiday twice which is of no use to me and the fridge magnets.

About 30 years ago I won a VCR from a McDonalds game. I think it was a football related scratchcard.

I read (but don't know if it's true) that for the really big prizes you have to have the receipts for all the meals you bought to prove that you collected the monopoly streets and didn't just swap with people - and they go back and cross check them all.

And that is why no one ever wins the big prizes.

My DD is obsessed with McDonalds monopoly and buys loads of stuff to get stickers. She won a £30 voucher for a clothing shop a couple of years ago but apart from that has only won food prizes.

About 7 years ago I won a car in a prize draw that I was convinced was a swizz, to the point that when they rang me I said to the woman "Oh har har DSIS! Nice try!" She had to ring back twice and email me before I would believe her!
