Sweets in the shape of fish and bears...

DD has her heart set on this cake and I'm up for the challenge but it's an American site so their suggestions for sweets don't quite translate. Here's what I've got and what I'm struggling with:

Towels - fizzy strips from corner shop easy
Weeds - got some fondant scraps I can use
Rubber rings - same as above
Surf boards - same

Need help with:

Fish
Teddies
Sharks?
Any other easy ideas that would look good!?

This is so helpful thanks - we shop in Aldi so it's great to know where to focus my hunt tomorrow!

Swedish fish are £1 a packet in Yorkshire trading if you have one near (they have lots of sweets which might work)
The fencing you can get wafer curls or coffee curls in home bargains, b+m and pound shop x

Aldi do really cute gold wrapped chocolate bears at this time of year- I’ve already seen them in stock with the Christmas stuff that they’ve put out so far.

Pretty sure jelly sharks are a staple of most pic n mix stands if you have any shops nearby with pic n mix!

I saw some mini bear biscuit moulds that look very similar to the bears in the original picture - I'd give it a Google if you're willing to make the extra element.

Ta Dah!!! Thank you to everyone, definitely worth the trek to Sainsbury's as they had exactly what we needed.

Really enjoyed making this although wish I'd done a triple stack so we had more sea to play with. DD helped for the first time (her cakes are usually a big surprise) and it was such a fun thing to do together.

Oh, what a cute cake (yours and the original)! Glad you enjoyed making it together, how lovely Smile

Wow! That's brilliant @FusionChefGeoff , how creative you are!
I love your palm trees, they are way better than the originals, and how clever to use cocktail umbrellas.
I bet your little daughter was thrilled, thanks for sharing a fab photo.

I'd make them out of fondant. Buy it ready coloured though!
