Hotel in Lisbon for lone female?

I'm going to Lisbon for a work-related reason but I have decided to extend my stay for an extra day to have a little break, and I am looking for a suitable hotel to book. I'm a 40-something woman and I'm travelling alone but meeting people around Lisbon. I've been to Lisbon once before but with family. One idea I was wondering about is staying in Sintra because I will be getting Ubers to and from the city anyway, but I don't know if it's a nice place to stay (as opposed to just visit) and especially as a lone female? Is it a bit too quiet at night?

Alternatively I could stay in the centre of Lisbon in a nice hotel in a good area for me to stay by myself, pop out and have dinner and walk back etc.

Can anyone recommend a hotel where I would feel comfortable, safe, and not stand out like a sore thumb, and feel comfortable to do things like go out for dinner by myself?

I’ve stayed in the Hotel Mundial a couple of times. Really central location near the Rossio with lots of restaurants etc in walking distance plus it’s close to the metro and Rossio train station

International Design Hotel is lovely and very central.

Cascais, in hotel Baia, room with a sea view. We stay there when we go. Gorgeous views, fabulous restaurant plus lots of them nearby. Train to and from Lisbon very cheap, but along the coast road. I've sat in the bar/lounge on my own and loved it there.

One Palacio Anunciada- great location, beautiful hotel. Would recommend. Big enough so you don’t stand out as a lone traveller but small enough to feel safe. Secure doors and rooms felt very safe

Second Cascais: we’ve just returned from mini-moon there and visit often as several friends live there. So many excellent AirB&Bs, tranquil, safe, lovely scenery.
