I got Omicron and was off sick for 2 weeks, like a bad bout of flu. I'd had the vaccine. I've got it again and I am just as rough but possibly recovering a little quicker.

The current strain of covid is quite mild (cold symptoms) so I wouldn't worry about not being jabbed. I've had a few boosters but will not be having any more for the foreseeable as the long term effects of the jab are far worse than catching covid as it presents currently.

What's that based on? The current strain may well be presenting as mild BECAUSE you've had the jabs.

People I know who have had no jabs (for a variety of reasons) and are testing positive for covid (work requirement) have very mild symptoms.

I've had all the jabs and getting another one today. Had COVID for the second time two weeks ago. Harder this time than last but it was the throat that was the worst thing (like masses of ulcers in my throat and kept jumping side to side) so I might have had a throat infection at the same time. If this was the case then the COVID part of it wasn't too bad (sinus and eye pain, loss of sense of smell and taste, blocked/then runny nose, blocked ears).

I had covid in March 2020 that put me in hospital, bedbound for several months etc, so pretty bad. I haven't had any vaccines, had covid again last year and it was very mild. A few days of breathlessness and that was all.

Stillonthemove · 06/10/2023 13:09

I've had it recently, as have DD and DS, and believe me, it was not mild. For any of us.

Ah hopefully that's the case for me . It just feels like a a head cold and slightly sore throat at the moment.

It doesn’t seem mild at all this time! People with no health conditions are off work for weeks, completely wiped out.

It depends it what you mean by that . If it seems like a heavy flu then I can get by won't be happy but that's life.

But if its anything like the covid I had during the pandemic then I honestly can't cope with that 😭
