You're on Dinner Date, what are you serving?

I'd go with something simple but delicious like:

S: Creamy garlic mushrooms on bruschetta
M: Curry, chicken or prawn & rice, naan, onion bhaji's
D: Apple crumble and ice cream or custard

If it was a date, then

baken Brie to share with crudities and garlic dough balls
ribeye steak with salad, mushrooms and mashed or baked potato with a peppercorn sauce
dessert would be something light like Eton mess

Antipasto platter to start with champagne.
Bouillabaisse with homemade baguettes and garlic rouille.
Apricot and almond tart, vanilla marscapone and a cheeseboard later with excellent port.

If I'm on a dinner date I either watch to be cooked for or fed at a restaurant

More cooking isn't much of a date

Anything that survived the 'cooking' process and managed to make its way on to the plate.

Its Dinner Date. A TV programme where people cook for the main contestant and then they pick a winner to go on a proper date with.

Not that menu OP. It doesn't flow at all.

I would go with a Mediterranean theme and use my Ottolenghi recipe books or Indian and use recipes from Maunika Gowardhan.
