Bloody head lice/bits

Just wrote a huge post but then accidentally swiped it away 🙄

Basically - I found head lice on both my DDs hair a week ago. We've done the treatment and I've gone through their hair EVERY DAY since with conditioner and a nit comb but still finding the occasional baby louse and eggs. Going to use the treatment again tomorrow but we are heading abroad next week and it's stressing us all out that we're not rid of them yet 😭.

Any tips or suggestions?

It's our first time having to deal with the buggers

Keep going! Sympathies, we once ended up nit combing on holiday in France during our year of nits. When I got the kit out my DS said 'ooh my favourite nit comb'

Our school would send generic messages to all parents asking them to treat, but realistically, not everyone will. Doesn't seem to be an issue at all as they get older and certainly not at secondary school.

Luckily our school breaks up for the holidays at the end of the week which will give us 2 clear weeks without much chance of re-infestation.

Honestly didn't expect it to be this difficult - I never had them as a child so completely oblivious so what a nightmare it is to get rid of them.

I've bought some of the vosene lice repellent products to use when they do go back to school so hoping that will help prevent another situation like this!
