Choirs

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can look for music arranged for choirs please ?

I often listen to some of the better 'pop' (for want of a better word) - some Abba songs today, but I've thought it about Carpenters music before, and some Simon and Garfunkel tracks - and think it would be great to sing, but our choir do like to harmonise and we could do with finding some arrangements for ladies voices (2 or 3 part) with a decent accompaniment.

Do you have a 'go to' website you use please ? Does such a thing exist ?

Try Musicroom or similar, I think you can filter for arrangements for the voices you want e.g. SSA

'upper voices' could also be a useful search term

A lot of singing teachers also do this. My son's singing teacher does. Don't forget your licences if you are performing the pieces.

Thanks.
I'll start with Musicroom.

Yes, we have someone in our choir who is hot on copyright stuff.
I mean, we are a fundraising choir and all proceeds go to our chosen charity, but even so, it is looked in to for any new stuff we do Smile

Musescore and 8notes.com are ones I use for my school choir. I have a (relatively inexpensive) subscription for both, so not sure what content you get for free. Worth a look though?

Thanks @NedSchneebly I'll take a look.

One thing I find tricky about trying to buy music on line, is not being able to look at the actual music before buying, to judge the difficulty level. We actually enjoy a bit more of a challenge than just singing the tune, and we are fortunate enough to have the most excellent accompanist so don't want to end up with sheet music that is 'the melody plus a chord or two', if that makes sense ? Smile

(Though acknowledging those sort of books were just fab when my dc were learning, for Christmas presents etc to encourage loads of extra playing outside of what they "had to" practice for their teacher). It's about horses for courses.
