Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I've had a lie in & then my breakfast. I'm just finishing my first cuppa now. I've got the window open so I can hear the birds outside, and I've been watching one of the wood pigeons pootle about on the fence & next doors flat roof. Strange to see just the one - usually there are two or three together.

Today's plan is similar to yesterday for me! Potter about sorting the tip kitchen after last night's tea, quick tidy round, couple of wash loads to be done. Maybe I'll chuck in a bit of clearing out, or listing on Vinted...we'll see.

Once my little list's done, I'm going to carry on painting peg people (well, they're animals this time) or pick up my crochet. Might make a few more bracelets with the girls too maybe - or just set them going then potter since I managed all of one in the time it took dd2 to make 6 or seven 🙈🤣

Dd1 has homework to be doing too - a Philosophy essay she's enjoying, and something Lit she's not as enthusiastic about. Dd2 has some of her Sparx Readers to complete but doesn't like the platform so will need a kick up the bum to do it.

Roast chicken for tea, with roast spuds, some sort of veg, Yorkshires, and gravy 😋

After that showers, and early nights all round ready for the new week.

What about all of you? 🙂

Today is a clean-up day (it's 8:30 pm Sunday here) we have a council bulk waste pick up tomorrow (basically big items that can't fit in your normal bin and things like washing machines/dryers/dishwashers and furniture get thrown out) so we took everything out the front cleaned up a bit then watched the women's grand final for football now we are watching the men's one our town won in the women's so that's exciting.
Also, I'm melting a lot it's as I said 8:30 and still 30 degrees, not going to like our summer 🫠🫠😄.

@Berninaa we have a weird ledge thing in school along the corridors (they're like cubby holes inside the classrooms but stick out outside of them). Usually we put up a small display of the book we're currently reading in class - although I haven't seen what this year's teacher has been doing yet.

Good morning all. I had a terrible nights sleep last night so have hardly moved all morning. I’m still in my pjs on the sofa but I did make sausage sandwiches for me, dh and dd9 earlier.

Today I need to clean the house (as I couldn’t be bothered doing it yesterday), iron uniform and just potter about really.

Dd19 will be setting off to work in half an hour and dd16 stayed at a friend’s last night. I may need to go and pick her up today, I’m not sure if she’s making her own way home or not.

Tea will be garlic chicken and mash with veg and I’ll be having an early night ready for work tomorrow.

Morning @lucysmam and all! It's been a morning of homework and laundry here.

Swimming this afternoon.

Then we are also having a roast chicken for dinner.

Self care Sunday evening of course, want to get in bed nice and early and carry on with my new book!

Baffled1989 · 01/10/2023 11:22

Throwing up every 0.2 seconds after way too much alcohol last night

lucysmam · 01/10/2023 11:25

Oh dear @Baffled1989 hopefully that doesn't last too long 🤞

@Decafflatteplease I've a scrubby, everything shower planned, then do my nails before settling down with a book (not sure which one yet). Self care Sunday's definitely a good idea!

Well I missed morning, I’ve had a very lazy day today, it’s been quite mild here so I’ve mainly sat in the garden ‘supervising’ the smalls playing while I did some reading and tried some new beers.

I need to hover and mop the basement in a bit as we’re having flooring fitted tomorrow, so it needs to be as clean as possible. The kitchen and bathroom are nearly finished, so hopefully this time next week I’ll be able to start getting some furniture in there.

Have a lovely afternoon/evening everyone.

NonMiDispiace · 01/10/2023 16:46

😀@Simonjt , I’ve had a lazy day too really. DH and the dog went for a long walk while I did some gardening, a bit of ironing and cooked a curry for dinner. Two loads of washing done and dried and the bed changed.
Dh and dog snoring so I think I will have a long bath and read my book.
Enjoy your evening everyone.

lucysmam · 01/10/2023 16:51

Sounds like a nice day @Simonjt ! I've just poured a glass of prosecco while I'm cooking, and I'm watching the hedgehog who is building a nest at the bottom end of my garden. He or she is rather speedy & the robin's in close pursuit, presumably for any bugs that are unearthed😊
