I know it's not normal. Any tips? Both girls long hair and then the hair drying...just thinking about it exhausts me...

Give them a towel/flannel to hold over their face it works well with my 4 year old.

Surprised at all these girls going to bed with wet hair. I worry about mine getting cold so always blow dry it in the winter. I hate the feeling of getting into bed with wet hair so maybe that's it.

I only wash DD's curly hair once a week, in the morning at the weekend and let it dry naturally and plait it at night.

I only do it once a week after swimming. Hair wet, shampooed and conditioned in the bath then jump into the shower to rinse.

Takes seconds to brush out, I only dry it enough to take the edge off do takes about 3 mins.

Leave it to dry naturally. No need for a hairdryer.

If they don't like their hair being washed , think of them and cut it. I'm not a fan of long hair for small children but if they doesn't like it being washed and you don't like the maintenance why have they got long hair?

This is one of those problems you can make 90% easier by cutting to shoulder length. I feel sorry for the girls with ridiculously long hair, it always looks matted at the bottom as they're clearly too young to care for it properly
