Saturday night I'll be home alone. What to do ?

No friends around. DH going out. DC will be doing own thing. I am dreading being home alone tbh. It will be boring. I don't really watch TV. The gym will be closed (my only hobby).
Any ideas ?

So you are annoyed he is going out ? Just enjoy a bit of ‘me’time instead or meet up with other friends .

I'm thinking nice treats on the sofa with wine and I'll try to watch a film. Maybe hot soak, nails, MN scrolling, holiday planning

Strictly (start it later, you don’t need to watch it live), a curry (or takeaway of choice), chocolate, have opinions on other peoples dancing skills?

or a film? Do you have any books on the go? Pjs book, nice wine?

it’s one evening. You need to be able to cope without being entertained by someone else.

Find a nice pub with a roaring fire, grab the best fireside table and enjoy an hour ot two with a good book, glass of wine, bit of people watching/eavesdropping - better than moping at home.

Have a night in with drinks just you then. I’m sure you can manage to sit in front of the telly and watch a good movie for a couple of hours or have a long hot soak in the tub.

Sounds lovely! Honestly the night will be over before you know it.

This is so bizarre

Conradbain · 29/09/2023 19:22

It's odd that it's such a challenge for you that you are posting online for advice

You said you used to like solo time. Wondering what happened. It's not that normal to struggle with your own company to this extent.

waltzingparrot · 29/09/2023 22:26

Invite the neighbours round for drinks and nibbles.

Has something happened which has caused you to be uncomfortable in your own company? You don't need to answer that obviously.
I live alone but I'm happy in my own company
Glass of wine, favourite food then a long bath?
