pupil premium

I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me that I cannot find the answer to. I am receiving working tax credit and child tax credits, and that means that my kids do not qualify for free school meals. My question concerns pupil premium - what are the qualifying criteria for the school getting PP, and how can I apply for it for the school? Thanks!

Our school emailed parents today and said if anyone thinks they qualify, to let the school know so they can arrange extra funding. Contact your school.

You don't have to be in receipt in free school meals now if you have been in receipt of it at any time in the last 6 years.

I think the link provided answers my question - we have never been entitled to FSM and do meet the other criteria either, so that means my children's school is not entitled to PP. Thanks

If you're ever in doubt about entitlement to free school meals/pupil premium, you can ask your child's school to run a check.

The school just needs the parent national insurance numbers and they can run a check or ask the LEA to do so on their behalf.
