So I have epilepsy diagnosed about 8 years ago but I’m afraid I have a brain tumour!! Every time I move my head I’m constantly dizzy I have an mri on Monday but I’m scared of the result! I’m constantly tired aswell and always have a pressure and ringing in my ears sometimes

Medical tests are always stressful and waiting for results can be excruciating. I hope all goes well and you get a good result quickly.

I totally understand the worry. The logical view is if you did have a tumour, the best thing would be to find it so treatment could start. But fear is not logical!

All you can do is accept how you feel and stay as calm as possible until the test is over Flowers

Could just be vertigo which can be caused by crystals in your ears.

Try not to go to worst case scenario!

I have this and I have Long Covid. Could be a million things though. Remember whatever it is there's either treatment or a cure. Even for a brain tumor.

Try cutting out all caffeine and see if that helps.

Hi @Kimby23
It could be a vitamin deficiency hun, could you ask GP for some tests. I remember when my b12, vit d and iron was low, i was in a really bad way, ringing in the ears and dizziness.
I know its so difficult hun, please try not to worry, hoping everything will be ok xx

LightSpeeds · 29/09/2023 04:30

Also possibly BPPV?

You must be feeling really worried. Fingers crossed for you. x

dontgobaconmyheart · 29/09/2023 04:39

Lots of things much more likely than a brain tumour here OP. I'd try not to worry about that specifically as it's very unlikely. Perhaps ask your GP to test your b12/iron/vit d/thyroid and refer to ENT to investigate the ear issues - it could be something like labrynthitis, BPPV, tinnitus- all treatable and fatigue is very common in general.

Best of luck with the MRI, you'd hear quickly if there was any concern so no news is usually good news in that respect.

It’s awful I content feel of nausea and slight dizziness when moving the head or even shouting sometimes chewing it’s very odd I’m trying to except that it could be the worst case

Any need? No we can't diagnose but sometimes people just want a listening ear if they can't confide their worries to anyone in real life.

So I went to the doctors today there is a build up with fluid in both sides of my ears they’ve given me a nasal spray but she was quite abrupt and didn’t say much other than you’ve got fluid build up behind your ears didn’t give me a chance to speak as she was late does this explain a sore head on one side I don’t know😱
