I need a news book series to get into and I hope you lovely people will suggest something for me!

I’ll list my favourites and if you have suggestions please let me know which of my favourites it’s closest to.

Robin Hobb - all the Six Duchies and Rainwild books

Alison Weir - Six Tudor Queens

Stephanie Laurens - Cynster/Bastion/Black Cobra/Adventures

Lucinda Riley - The Seven Sisters

Julia Brannen - Jacobite Chronicals

Mary Balogh - Simply and Slightly Series

I have read all of Lucinda Riley’s stand alone books and I love her! Her and Robin Hobb would be my favourite authors along with Jane Austen and I have a weakness for Harry Potter.

I’m looking for a series but if you have stand alone suggestion I’ll take them!!

thanks!!

I'm reading Patricia Gibney - Det. Lottie Parker series if you're into crime and before that I read Robert Dugoni - Tracy Crosswhite Detective Series..

I read a trilogy by Judith Arnopp, the first was "The Beaufort Bride", so set a bit before the Tudor queens. I don't know how it stands up if you're an actual historian, but I thought they were good. I think she wrote some stand alone books about some of the tudor Wives too.

I enjoyed Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth, World Without End and A Column of Fire. I would recommend them if you're into historical fiction.

Pillars of the Earth is good (not so the obsession with breasts)

Edward Rutherford London is excellent. Paris is good too.

Angus Donald's Outlaw Chronicles based on the Robin Hood stories/Crusades are a fun read. Bit heavy on battle scenes, but I do t mind that.

Bernard Cornwall - The WarLord Chronicles loosely based on Arthurian legend.

Jasper Fforde - The Thursday Next series - set in an alternative "book world".

Jo Nesbø - Harry Hole detective series set in Norway. Very dark and hood for the winter

Lucinda Riley’s is my favourite author. 2nd and 3rd choices would be Harry Potter and Jane Austen. I really recommend Kristen Hannah. I loved winter garden and the nightingale. I’m sure you will love her

A court of thorns and roses series is amazing, I’ve just finished the last book, I’ve been hooked

Outlander? If you can get past the silly time travel it's v good, but I know it's a big stumbling block.

Phillipa Gregory has written loads about Plantagenets and Tudors.
