How much do you spend on food for two people?

I reckon we probably spend around £150-200 a week for food for two of us (no children).
This is about £80 on Ocado then bits and bobs from Sainsburys during the week. For lunch we’ll get a meal deal or similar. Every other week we’ll go out for pizza which comes to £40.

Does this sound like an extravagant amount?

We don't eat out by choice. Spend about £130 a week on food over various shops. Includes alcohol. I never understand people who won't buy fillet steak or expensive fish etc because they claim its too expensive then blow three times as much on a very ordinary takeaway.
Our motto is if you want it, have it, as long as you can afford it.

To be fair I have quite plain taste in food, I don't budget but I just don't spend a huge amount because I don't like pricey stuff like steaks or fish apart from salmon. I'd rather buy some 3 quid mince and have a bolognese.

I spend about £150. This also includes all cleaning and hygiene products. I also have two dogs and two cats so all their food too.

We can easily live on £50pw, we're mainly veggie with a couple of fish meals a week. I'm pretty savvy with making choices though, ie only buy fish when on offer and freeze, thinking about cheaper options, ie packet biscuits cheaper than a cake, buying shops own brand etc.
