Good products / routine for bad skin?

I am early 30s and my skin at the moment is really, really bad. I’ve got spots all over my lower chin, bottom of my cheeks and even a few on my neck.

My diet is poor but I also don’t have a skincare regime. I only take my make-up if I’ve put a lot on within a few hours of going to bed. I won’t take it off if I’ve been at work all day for example and put it on at 8am. But that’s all I do, I don’t cleanse, moisturise etc.

I'd recommend starting cleansing, it's not good for your skin to have make up on it at night, it'll be blocking your pores and making spots worse. If you're not good at spending time on skincare, maybe start with (bad for the environment but good for your circumstances) cleansing wipes? I'd go for ones for sensitive skin. And also buy a moisturiser for sensitive skin.

I would start with taking your makeup off, properly cleansing generally. It makes a bigger difference than you'd think and isn't too much faff.

No need to spend loads but hot cloth cleansers are good. I use the vitamin A one from superdrug or whatever is in Aldi or Lidl- Aldi have a good vitamin C one. I would buy a stack of cheap face cloths or muslins and use a new one every couple of days. Use hand hot water, not scalding.

Salycilic acid toner.

It might take a bit of trial and error but a simple routine of hada labo hydration gel and Inkey List blemish clearing moisturiser with thank you farmer SPF50 at night.

You could use a creamier eye cream (superdrug vit E again) for a bit of extra moisture there.

What's your typical diet like? Also are you drinking plenty of water? Are you on any hormonal contraceptives? POP can cause acne.

Sorry! Of course I meant SPF in the daytime!

SVR Sebiaclear

It was recommended by a dermatologist on some morning program, only about £15 on amazon. Been using it each night for a week (says morning and night but I forget) and skin is already clearer.
