Present for sick colleague

A work colleague has been signed off sick for a while. Diagnosed with a complication post surgery that means hes tired/ high BP but not terribly ill. I don't know him that well, but was going to send a present from work.

Any ideas? He's mid 40s, but I don't really know what he likes hobbies wise. Thinking of things that are under £15, and good for keeping someone occupied, but bit more novel than a book/ jigsaw...??

Hmm.. tricky. Do you know whether he reads?

From experience of illness, actually just a nice thinking of you or blank card that says you’re thinking of him with a bit of chat included might do as well as a gift would. You could include, say, a Waterstones gift card if you think he might read and are really keen to send a gift. But it’s the thought that counts.

Or a nice plant 🪴

I don’t think you can get him something to keep him occupied unless you know him, or you just mean a voucher. A card is the main thing. The plant is nice. Or a box of graze type snacks / not salty. Or a nice bath oil..

Graze snacks and treats and a gift card it is, thanks! I might not have sent a gift usually but a longstanding member of the team has been off on compassionate leave and we Sent her a gift, so thinking a token present might be nice for him.

Try and go low-salt for high BP person. They can be quite salty (sorry!)
