Where to buy soft throw/blanket

Elderly relative has just been diagnosed with cancer. I would like to buy her a blanket, small enough to carry to appointments if she wishes. I've bought what I think are going to be gorgeous blankets in the past but the wool has been rough and itchy. I don't want a fleece blanket
Any suggestions?

My friend was ill last year and I bought her a lambs wool blanket as her illness made her very cold.

Do you live near a National Trust Shop? I always stop and stroke their blankets/throws or whatever they are. They feel lovely.
White Company?

Dunelm have some lovely ones. We bought one from there 12 years ago and it still looks brand new!

I have several from The British Blanket Company. The wool is lovely and soft. They do a half size armchair blanket that would be good for the appointments

You could try Etsy. There's a few small quilts and crochet blankets too on there

A cashmere pashmina? Light, easy to fold up and carry and wonderfully comforting.

Good call with the pashmina. A shawl can be placed around the shoulders for walking or sitting and also across the lap and not look weird or be too bulky. Have you considered that at all?

In a similar vein to British Blanket - thebritishblanketcompany.com - I love my Turtle Dove cashmere wrap. Expensive but it's my super comforting treat that even the thought of makes me feel calm and soothed.

I'm not sure how small they go as I've got a big one that lives on my sofa but the Dunelm super soft ones sound ideal - like a cuddle in a blanket!

John Lewis cashmere scarves/ wraps. DH bought me one for Christmas. It was about £125 but is a very wide scarf, light and so warm and soft.

Dunelm Teddy ones

I'm having chemo at the moment and a scarf/wrap/pashmina is a great idea - my arm has to be exposed for the picc line/canula so short sleeves only, but it gets cold. I have a thick shrug type cardigan I take, but I've been thinking a wrap will be good for the winter (sorry no recommendations as I don't have one yet!)

Good luck @namechange0998776554799000 sending positive vibes your way.
