Particularly someone in university halls, I’m not sure how loud is acceptable so might need shaking part

Thanks for recommendations

Ds says ‘he’ll be fine’

But has rarely been woken by his iPhone alarm. I want to get him something but he’s got to use it or it’s a waste

Perhaps the knowledge that you aren’t there as a fail safe to wake him he will be more responsive to alarms (if he wants to get up for his lectures that is..!)?

Definitely get a few options such as the smart radio and wake up clock and something really annoying and tell him to put it far away from his bed so he can’t snooze it easily

Alarmy is good. Annoying but good.

You can get alarm clocks for deaf people that have a shaking/vibrating thing that goes under your pillow.

It wakes my son up every morning, but not the rest of us!

If your dc is heading to uni, let them sort themselves out, in any case you could send them with the best alarm in the world but there’s nothing forcing them to set the thing. If he/she misses lectures, they’ll soon get pulled up by the tutors. Honestly, I’d just let them work it out for themselves.
