Feel like I’m permanently hungry at the moment! Maybe it’s the shift in weather
Haven’t had breakfast yet but I’m having yoghurt, berries and honey. Then i’ve got spicy butternut squash soup for lunch and not sure about dinner.
What’s on your menu for the day?

No sugar museli for breakfast

Homemade egg mayo on tiger bread baton for lunch with a bag of crisps. This is an unusual lunch for me (usually soup or avocado on toast etc) and I am SO EXCITED to eat it Grin

Dinner is salmon fillet, jacket spud and Mediterranean veg

Snacks will be a pear and raspberries

WDIAROM · 21/09/2023 10:21

Im hungrier lately too.
Ive eaten nothing but rubbish so far today :
A croissant with Nutella inside for breakfast
2 packets of crisps
2 spoonfuls of Nutella off the spoon.
Lunch will be cheese on toast
Dinner will be vegetable pasta
And no doubt there will be lots of snack in between.

Twopintsprick81 · 21/09/2023 10:45

Lunch:three bean soup
Tea:veg frittata with baked beans

mondaytosunday · 21/09/2023 11:00

I'm trying to lose weight. This is my day:
Breakfast:
an egg fried using olive oil spray
6/7 cherry tomatoes
50gr smoked salmon
Cup of tea with semi milk

Lunch:
Toastie with seeded bread, turkey and cranberry sauce (no butter)
Salad with dressing
Tam tam (a little cake 110 calories)
Half a glass milk

Dinner:
Breaded fish filet
Chips
Green veg
Tartare sauce

Snack:
Two caramel rice cakes.

It's about 1600/1650 calories - I will tot it up properly and put it in to MFP app.

I love butternut squash soup too and will probably make some this weekend. I eat is with toasted pumpkin seeds and croutons fried in butter and paprika. It lasts for three/four lunches.

AInightingale · 21/09/2023 11:06

Eaten shite all week, not happy about it.

Breakfast this morning - three veggie sausages and mushrooms, handful of walnuts, coffee.

Lunch - h/m quorn cottage pie (with swede topping instead of potato), and will have same for dinner plus some sprouts, and freeze the rest. Apple after each. Will TRY not to eat after 6pm.

Trying to eat lower carb as I feel better when I do, and need to lose some weight.

Labbingtons · 21/09/2023 11:10

There's not much in the fridge at this point in the week, but....

Breakfast- a bit of Greek Yoghurt and lots of coffee.
A midmorning apple, as we've got hundred of them!
Lunch- leftover chickpea and aubergine stew with bharat (lovely spice with orange peel in it)
Supper- Risotto made by DS12 in food tech, god help me! Rocket salad and roasted tomatoes. Wine.
Dark chocolate and decaf coffee in front of Living Next Door to Putin (because I really know how to kick back and relax.)

Crunchymum · 21/09/2023 11:12

Oatcakes topped withTszaki and cucumber for breakfast
Omelette (2 eggs, cheese, red onion, tomatoes, yellow pepper) for lunch
Spicy chicken and salad in wholemeal pitta for dinner

Some nuts or an apple with peanut butter if I need a snack.

TheChosenTwo · 21/09/2023 11:26

@lucysmam 2 breakfasts reminds me of my nephew who used to wake up so early when he was little that he had about 5 breakfasts before he left to go to school!! Good breakfasts too 😂 he was skinny as a whippet, no idea how he used to fit it in!

lucysmam · 21/09/2023 11:28

@TheChosenTwo I usually only have one but turns out one was not enough today 🙈 The smell of the chippy was shouting to me as we walked up to my appointment too 😋 Think I'm just in a food kind of mood today 🤷‍♀️

Citygirlrurallife · 21/09/2023 11:31

I had some of D.C. leftover porridge for breakfast. Got leftover roasted cauliflower and chickpeas in the fridge but tempted to turn it into soup with some white beans for lunch

was going to do a stir fry this evening but have decided I want mushroom stroganoff instead

Duxelle · 21/09/2023 11:33

It's TOTM over here so the day has not started well.
I had cooked breakfast, sausage, bacon, hashbrown and fried bread from the staff canteen, washed down with a cup of sugary tea and now just had a chocolate brownie that was brought in by a colleague who baked them!
There's no hope.
I probably won't eat lunch though as I do feel very full now.

Usually I am very good and have fruit and a cup of tea for breakfast, last nights left overs for lunch and dinner is usually protein, veg and potatoes.

But today I thought - SOD IT!

TheChosenTwo · 21/09/2023 11:35

Ooh @Citygirlrurallife i might fancy mushroom stroganoff and brown rice for my dinner tonight! Someone else mentioned brown rice upthread somewhere and it reminded me I much prefer it for the sort my chewy nutty texture and taste.

I had had 3 slices wholemeal toast and butter and 4 chicken goujons for breakfast (in 2 stages toast at 6am and chicken at 9am)

For lunch egg mayo cheese and lettuce wrap with 1/2 tin of tomato soup

Dinner "white chicken stew" bung chicken in slow cooker with condensed soup and veg - serve with rice

Prob some crisps/nuts

(I am morbidly obese though!)

TheChosenTwo · 21/09/2023 11:40

@Duxelle I’m a big believer in listening to what your body wants. Sometimes that’s 5 small meals in a day, sometimes 2 bigger ones. Some days it’s chocolate for breakfast, others it’s all green and natural and others still are a mix of the two.
I don’t deprive myself!!

I'm a lot less hungry since I started blocking food related ads on Facebook. Every time I went on i was bombarded with food and recipe posts and it was making me think about food constantly. I use it a lot for various work and hobby related things so can't just ditch it unfortunately. That and I've cut out sweet things mostly, maybe just one day a week I'll have a little something after a meal.

Breakfast today was plain porridge.
Lunch, tuna and egg salad.
Dinner is a prawn jambalaya.

Tisfortired · 21/09/2023 11:48

Breakfast - weetabix with fruit and a slice of marmalade toast
Lunch - leftover pizza 😋
Dinner - veggie chilli

Snacks I have a pastel de nata in the fridge and possibly a yoghurt if I get peckish before dinner!

Ryeman · 21/09/2023 11:58

Breakfast was toast with peanut butter, plus a couple of handfuls of fruit and fibre as a morning snack. Lunch will be half a covent garden soup (although I'll walk into town and there is a great toastie van on a Thursday - will try to resist!).
Dinner will be chicken marinated in yogurt, wedges and salad.

TryAtleastOnce · 21/09/2023 12:07

Breakfast at 8am
Steamed rice, seaweed and leek miso soup, fermented soya bean "Natto" with anchovy, seaweed flakes, sesami, honey yoghurt and Yakult

Lunch (will have around 1pm) -Japanese style pack lunch Bento
Steamed rice with dried seaweed, a sausage, pickled cucumber, leftover gammon, stir-fry leek, carrot and potatoes, and melted cheese on fish cake

Dinner (will have around 6pm)
Fish pie and boiled peas
I will make yoghurt jelly with fruit cocktails on top for pudding

Workawayxx · 21/09/2023 12:14

I’ve been less hungry recently randomly 🤔! Starving today though as I had a croissant for breakfast with DP which always makes me hungry before lunch!

B - croissant
snack - grapes and a homemade oat biscuit
planning to make a batch of veg and lentil curry and will probably have some for lunch.
D - maybe homemade pizza with DS

IHeartGeneHunt · 21/09/2023 12:20

Rice and beans for breakfast, salmon paste and piccalilli sandwich for lunch with tomatoes and an apple, coconut and prawn soup for dinner.

Lyricallie · 21/09/2023 12:48

I’m so hungry too! Also in Scotland so it’s definitely got cold recently!

Breakfast was some frittata and coffee.
Lunch baked potato and spaghetti hoops.
Dinner planning on having Kerralan curry or a Green Thai curry. We have so many veggies to use up before we get our next veg box tomorrow so curries are always good to use up veg in the fridge!

Also going to the cinema for tonight so leaving some space for snacks!

kingofchaos · 21/09/2023 12:51

A massive salad 👍🏼

What are you eating today?
TheChosenTwo · 21/09/2023 12:58

@Lyricallie we used to get an odd box (got rid of it now) and frequently ended up with a glut of one type of fruit or veg to use up, dh did get quite creative!
@kingofchaos that salad looks very good, is it a sort of take on a tuna nicoise with tinned tuna?
Salads so rarely include onion of any kind, I absolutely love onion and always add plenty to any I make; they’re an essential imo 😋

Had planned to make broccoli, cauliflower and blue cheese soup for lunch but I got busy and forgot so I'll do that tomorrow.

Last night we had pork goulash and rice, tonight we're having roast chicken. Tomorrow we'll probably have a lamb kefta tagine.

I've also got a butternut squash waiting to be used; I'll make a soup with that in the next week or so.

DH has porridge for breakfast, I have chia seed 'pudding'.

DH will probably have a cheese toasty for lunch today.

We'll often have a warm lunch throughout autumn and winter and even into spring, including warm salads.

TheChosenTwo · 21/09/2023 14:18

I wish I liked porridge. I love the smell of it, it’s such a comforting and homely smell, but I just hate it!
