Does one of theses hands look swollen? Dd hurt her hand by punching a wall. A few days ago. In the past she has done things like say she's hurt her shoulder or arm etc . I think she's hurt her hand or wrist before. I forgot which but its happend 3 times before this most recent one. Other occasions I have taken her to the hospital and on them 3 occasions they have said there's nothing wrong with it. And where she's not moving it it's seizing up and causing pain. Once she's Been she's moving it within 24hrs .

So with her hand I thought it was a cry wolf thing. But now I'm.not so sure. Over the weekend she was away . And went swimming. Played in the park. But I don't know how much she used her hand . I thought with swimming etc she might forget about it.

Just to add there's no issues at school no bullying etc. But she will try and bunk sometimes

Possibly her right hand a bit? Slightly different colour, but hard to tell.

Yeah not the best pic.

The only obvious difference from that angle is the colour. If she's been swimming I sincerely doubt that it's broken or seriously injured. You use your hands a lot in the water with pressure from all angles. Most likely a bit bruised if anything. I would just keep an eye on the colour, if that is abnormal for her, but I wouldn't bother with A&E.

I was thinking the same. I just asked the ex if she was swimming. He said she was just messing around in the water. Not really swimming.

I wouldn't go with the "couldn't because she was swimming".
Ds went for a week at a camp with lots of swimming with a broken wrist. Only became obvious when he tried to play tennis after he'd come home. Even then he was trying to pretend that he'd just decided that single handed back-hands were better.

Yes, to me it looks swollen. It looks more swollen than ds' wrist which was called by the doctors as "significantly swollen".
There's a specific fracture (I think at the base of the thumb) which is very typical of having punched something. It may even be known as something like "boxer's thumb".
I think you need an x-ray.

Ah poo. Normally I would just take her but because of the cry wolf stuff I didn't. I can't take her tonight because cwe could be there 6+ hours and my autistic son won't cope for that long .

Tomorrow I'm meant to be going to a support thing to do with emotional disregulation. Which has been set up by my sons psychologist in order to support /understand him. It's the first session. That's 10-12. If I take dd after morning school run there's no way I will be done by 10am. Then if I take dd after 12pm I won't be done in time for afternoon school run.

I don't have anyone one that can help at all .
