Do you consider workers treatment or social values when shopping?

After chatting to a friend I wondered how many women decide where to shop in relation to ethical or social issues? Or is price and choice of product more important?

I stopped shopping at places where I knew staff weren’t treated well.

I do consider it alongside how skint I am at the time

I try and avoid shopping in e.g Harrods/Sainsbury etc due to Qatari ownership ( human rights record ) , never been a fan of e.g hand knotted rugs in case of kidnapped child labour ( quite common in some industries inc cocoa growers too ) . Quite a few places are avoided where I worry the labour force isn't paid well but obv can't monitor it. All the throw away cheap clothing manufacturing has my attention, cheap meat ( animal welfare - e.g feedlots USA , caged pigs and calves in Europe , hen warehousing etc ) gets my attention too ( not my custom ). You can't avoid it all but I try to be informed as much as I can.
