Concern mother is going to lie in sons assessment

My 12 year old son has recently been misbehaving at school, and repeatedly stating that he wants to die. I took him to camhs for an assessment last week and camhs are going to offer him support. My self and his mother are divorced. His mother has made a lot of false statements about both myself and our son in the past, including false statements about my sons childhood and his medical history. Camhs have informed me that they are going to see my son and his mother next week. I am really concerned that his mother with lie about my son to camhs and she has this history of lying about him, and that if she does it may effect the support he gets. I have informed camhs of my concerns, and they have stated that they are aware that sometimes parents lie, and that they primarily listen to the children rather than the adults, but I am still really worried. Is there anything else I should do?

You have spoken to Camhs so I think that's all you can do. Camhs will want to speak to your son alone as part of the assessment, that's what they did with my son anyway.

Can you not attend too?

I used to work in CAMHS. You should really try to attend too.

She certainly won't be the first parent to lie to them and you've already informed them this may be an issue so I wouldn't be overly concerned at this stage. They will be able to spot the signs and will listen to the child. You can absolutely attend.

The first session was just myself and my son, I think they just want to see his mum with him in this session.
