I live in an old and damp out. There's one room in particular that's very bad with mold and it will need work at some stage. It's my mother's home.
I have my own room.
I bleached the walls a few years ago and that helped so much with the mold on the wall.
I was changing my bedclothes this morning and I found mold on a pillow. It was on my bed. I must admit it's been a few weeks since I changed my bed clothes. I was so busy and also I wasnt feeling well in parts and I never got a chance to change my bed clothes.
It looks as if the mold were on two corners of a pillow. I think maybe where I drool, perhaps. I chucked the pillow but still it's disappointing.
I have my windows open every day for ventilation. I thought that was supposed to help prevent mold.
What can I do to prevent more mold on stuff.
I will do my best to change my best clothes more often.
Maybe should I get dehumidifier for my room and plug it in beside my bed. Would that help if I was to run it for a few weeks beside my bed.
How about plants?
Some articles online says plants can help prevent mold growth. Does anyone have experience of plants helping slow down mold?
Should I get a big plant for my room? Would that help?
Does anyone have experience of using plants for better air quality around the home?
