It’s my husbands birthday in a few weeks, on a Saturday. We have 2 young children under 5 and I’m struggling to think of something to do for the day, the 4 of us, which is enjoyable for the kids but still something my husband will enjoy doing for his birthday. Any ideas? I was thinking a day in London if anyone might have some suggestions please & thank you!

Does he like animals?

A good zoo or safari park or aquarium has gone down well as a multi-generational day out for us with young nieces/nephews and parents / grandparents. But we are all really into animals.

How about 'diggerworld'? I think that's what its called. My son (31) and his Dad ,(63) loved it, but there are much smaller diggers for the children in an age-appropriate way. I think there are 2 or 3 nationally. I know there is 1 in Kent.

A safari park, or zoo. Or theme park like Alton towers if you can take any relatives along with you it’s a bonus as you can go on the big rides together but there will also be cbeebies lane for the littles

My DH really likes history so his idea of a good family day out would be somewhere like Warwick Castle, perhaps with a night in the Knight’s Village.

I was also going to suggest a safari park or zoo.
Who doesn't like a zoo? Smile

If you want to make it a day with small dc, then you have to gear it up to be a day the dc will enjoy, then it will be a nice day, so it will be a treat for the adults too.

Where are you based? The cotswolds safari park is very impressive, attractive and not too large.

Thank you so much everyone I don’t know why I didn’t even think of a zoo/safari park!
