£35 for a water bottle (and never named of course!)

The current craze in the primary school I work in are these Air Up water bottles.

£35 😱- I know it is none of my business what people spend their money on BUT it does become my problem when they go missing and as they are invariably unnamed, I have parents shouting at me that little Jonny cant find his and do I know how expensive they are?

Telling me that it's green/purple/blue or whatever, does not help as there are over 800 children at our school so the chance of there being another green/purple/blue one is quite high!!!

Buy a Sharpie and write the name on it (and while you're doing it, on the jumper, cardi and coat too please!!

And breathe!!

I label everything @itsgettingweird yet stuff still vanishes into the abyss at school never to be see again. I’ve refused to buy new this year and gone through the schools old lost property and second hand bits and clubbed together a couple of uniforms.

My DCs primary school only allow school water bottles to stop this problem. They are £1 if they need replacing, sturdy and don’t leak.

Remember the good old
Days when we all queued up to slurp from the fountain at break time?

There were 6 of these bottles lined up in the lost property at dd's school - never claimed 😱 dd has a tinted pink water bottle with a couple drops of squash - you can't tell and it's the difference between her drinking an appropriate amount and drinking nothing.
