What do you make of this? (Surgery?)

I've had no response on my other thread and would really appreciate thoughts.
This is related to surgery for a prolapse which has re-occurred after surgery around eleven / twelve years ago.
I've copied and (mostly) pasted for ease so I hope it makes sense:
'The upshot was that by the end of our conversation was that he wants me to do another test 'urgently' we all know that still means a wait, but I don't mind 'so that we know what we're dealing with', so that he can then discuss with MDT 'as he'll need another pair of hands' (due to scarring).
I'm thinking that his response meant that I might well get the surgery? I don't want to get my hopes up, so would like others people's opinion.'
I know it's not the most exciting topic in the world, but the impact of the prolapse has been huge, so I'd like you to tell me what you think.
Thank you.

Yes, sounds as though surgery is being contemplated but it won't be decided for sure until the patient's consultant has had input from his specialist colleagues regarding the prospective difficulties, pros, cons and best way forward at the MDT with the aid of the test results, scans etc.

@mrsjoyfulprizeforraffiawork, thank you so much for your reply.
I've had all sorts of tests already (and all very undignified). The thing is that I know (and told him) it's bigger now - he wants to see the extent (but didn't examine me?)
It's just this one last test which will confirm what I've said. But, he had already told me that prolapses are like hernias (which I already knew), so they will get bigger over time....
Your reply is exactly why I'm a bit doubtful, as in they might not want to take on a complicated case. That leaves me worried that they might decide my case is too difficult and so won't operate, and where that would leave me.
