*I've only listened to one Richard Osman on Audible and every chapter felt like "have I hit the word count yet?"
Then in the little interview at the end he mentions how hard he finds it to write enough.*
I wholeheartedly agree. (I have found my people.)
If it wasn't for Leslie Manville doing the audio narration I would not have persevered. That's several hours of my life I won't get back.
The brown nosing luvvie you're one of us little interview at the end was, um, interesting. Even the person doing the interview described the plot as, 'labyrinthine.' I thought, yup, sums it up well. So, you didn't get it either.
It read like an unpublished author trying to write a book. I'm guessing he only got the publishing contract because he's 'him off the telly.' Therefore people will buy it, i.e. it sells.
The book title is pure click bait. As for buying or reading anything else he produces. Nope.
I cringed when I purchased a hard copy book for my husband to read. (He doesn't care for audio books.) I saw the other books in the series and thought, 'there's more of this crap ?'
Albeit, of the author, I can't help but think, 'well done.' If blagging is the go you've got a corker.
