Book recommendations for teenage boy that aren’t fantasy

My 13, nearly 14 year old son enjoys reading, but a lot of books for his age seem to be fantasy books and he prefers real life stories. Does anyone have any recommendations for any books he could read?

Maybe he would like some science books

Stirmbreaker by Anthony Horowitz and the Alex Ryder series. My son loved those in his early teens.
