Exactly. I was out for a run the other week and one (off lead) started running after me. I was absolutely PETRIFIED. I had such an adrenaline rush I thought I was going to pass out. Thankfully the dog backed off but god it took a couple of hours for my heart rate to normalise.
I'm not someone who is generally scared of things and certainly don't think I'm one to overreact. I've encountered numerous dogs whilst out running including ones who have jumped up on me but nothing came close to this.
I just cannot understand how someone would deliberately choose a breed of dog who's mere presence can cause a such a physical reaction in other people unless of course that's the desired intention.
Whenever there are threads on here with posters defending these dog breeds, my only conclusion is that either they are the sort of person who enjoys seeing fear in other people or they have a below average IQ. There is no rational justification for owning this type of dog.
