How much do you spend on tv/entertainment streaming

VivaciousRadish · 02/09/2023 17:05

I’m just being nosy really and seeing if we’re excessive. I’m trying to cut down our spending.

This is ours

£17.99 Spotify family
£10.99 Netflix
£8.99 Prime
£7.00 Disney plus
£5.99 BritBox
£13.25 TV licence (although don’t pay monthly)

Thats almost £60 a month, and I’ve just cancelled Acorn and Apple TV+

Just interested to know what other people have

OP posts:

£30: Amazon Prime, Disney+ and TV licence. We don't get that much use out of them, don't have much time.

Willmafrockfit · 02/09/2023 17:55

got rid of netflix currently
just disney+
got TV license
so £20 a month

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 02/09/2023 17:55

About £100 a month but that includes,Sky/ Netflix/ landline and internet plus multirooms.

devildeepbluesea · 02/09/2023 17:56

TV licence, BritBox, Netflix, Prime and Disney. Although I regularly cancel Netflix.

Fluffy40 · 02/09/2023 17:56

Just Netflix and Apple Music, 17.00 per month plus prime , not sure of the price

Calistano · 02/09/2023 17:57

Nothing, well £35 Internet I suppose. Occasionally get 3/6 free months of apple or Disney free with my phone contract. Don't watch anything live (apart from occasional twitch and I'll be fucked if I'm paying bbc to watch some random Canadian cycling through Norway Grin). If I want to watch something specific, there are ways.

Gellhell · 02/09/2023 17:59

I've got
The netflix with ads 4.99
Prime about 70 per year
Disney plus 7.99
Discovery 7.99
Apple TV on a free 6 month trial.

At the moment I've been watching mostly Freeview!

EmmaPaella · 02/09/2023 18:04

I was thinking the same today. Currently I think it’s Prime, Netflix, Apple TV and Apple News.

Goldmember · 02/09/2023 18:06

£79.90 pa Disney
£37 pa Amazon Prime student
£10.99 pm Netflix
£5pm NowTV
£17.99 Spotify Family

I only have Now when I can get it half price. I'd happily get rid of Spotify but the kids and DH use it a lot. I've downgraded Netflix, I had the £16pm.

Excitingnewusername · 02/09/2023 18:07

Just the TV licence here, with a roku for streaming free channels.

Gellhell · 02/09/2023 18:18

Oh and 26 per month internet.

Grumblebees · 02/09/2023 18:24

We've only recently signed up for Netflix (£4.99 with ads) and have just been discussing whether we should get rid of the TV licence when it comes up for renewal. We only watch things on iPlayer/catch-up services and now Netflix. I can't believe how many different services people subscribe to 😲 I use Alexa to play music for free, she's learnt what I like so I don't have to skip much and don't get many ads.

SwedishEdith · 02/09/2023 18:26

Just tv licence and on/off Netflix. I don't use Spotify but a few others in the house do.

SackOfShitandRegrets · 02/09/2023 18:34

Netflix £8.00
Now tv £26.99
Disney £7.99
Tv element on phone bill £5.00
Tv licence £13.25

HundredMilesAnHour · 02/09/2023 18:38

TV licence, Sky (Sports, UHD, multi-room), Prime, Netflix UHD (so £15) plus annual fee of £110 for communal satellite dish.

Cotswoldbee · 02/09/2023 18:39

TV license only.
Watch only the main channels & Freeview.

Alycidon · 02/09/2023 18:55

Just the TV licence, although we do buy DVDs too.

Chasingsquirrels · 02/09/2023 18:57

£6.99 Netflix
£13.25 TV licence (paid monthly)

Myworldjusthim · 02/09/2023 19:01

This thread has reminded me to cancel some of our subscriptions because we certainly aren’t watching them all anymore
disney plus
netflix 10.99
now entertainment
now movies
amazon prime
tv licence
I just realised we never watch normal tv so why have I got a licence?

cakeorwine · 02/09/2023 19:05

Netflix
Spotify

We got rid of Amazon Prime after I couldn't get the music I asked for.

User13865890 · 02/09/2023 19:05

Too much but we are retired so plenty of time to watch.

TV licence £159 a year or whatever it is now
Sky £56 month includes Cinema, multiroom and Paramount+
Netflix £10.99 month
Apple TV £69 year, we have had lots of free trials though.
Disney, use Clubcard points
Amazon Prime, £95 year
Apple Music £99 a year

You need the TV licence for iplayer unfortunately.

I don’t have any of them, TV licence included - I watch the odd non-BBC thing on catch-up & occasionally reactivate my Netflix account if there’s something that looks good.

SprogTakesAQuarry · 02/09/2023 19:08

I chop and change. Ideally, I’d only have about three at any time, but I’ve always got lots more than that.

At present:

Netflix
Disney Plus (for S2 of the Bear but will cancel again soon)
Channel 4 cause I’ve been binging Taskmaster and before that MAFS
Amazon - though I never think of that as TV, just for delivery

I’ll cancel Disney Plus soon and probably get Apple or Now for a few months.

RaininSummer · 02/09/2023 19:36

About 8 quid on Prime, whatever TV licence is and Internet costs 34 a month at present

LittleBearPad · 02/09/2023 19:41

Apple Music (got thoroughly fed up by the changes to the free Amazon Music offer)
Netflix
Disney (free with bank account)
Prime (have this anyway)
Now TV (with Sky Sports for the Ashes - will be cancelled when offer runs out.

So a lot but thank you OP as I needed to remember to downgrade Netflix post holiday.
