Did your floor fitter ask for the room to be completely cleared ?

We are due to get a wooden floor fitted next week. We've been looking forward to it but after speaking to the fitter he wants the room completely cleared. I obviously will be moving all the bits the I can ie tv, tables, lamps etc but I thought he'd be able to move the sofas and work around them. I am now panicking as for some reason ours seem absolutely massive and we have always had major problems getting them in and out of doors when moving house etc.

Wooden flooring should be cut outside if the weather permits.

@cushioncovers This is Britain... think we're being a bit optimistic there. 😂

Just need a pop up gazebo to run the chop saw under if it’s solid wood flooring tbh.

Ours worked around the bed, moving it from one side of the room to the other. It would've been impossible otherwise.

Depends on the area though
Lots of areas dont have front gardens
Plus some areas with front gardens are not secure enough to leave a hand saw unattended.

(No insult intended OP)

Never knew one that didn't.

We are having our carpets down and are paying them extra to move the furniture for us, is this an option. ?

Don’t need a front garden. Done it on the pavement out the front door, side door on drive, or round back. Would be an issue if a self contained flat that i give you.
