Tickets for tonight’s Mahler Prom

My DS19 is in London and was hoping to go promming this evening but has missed out on getting a ticket. With the train strikes, I am guessing there will be some tickets for resale. Does anyone know how to get a ticket?

The man who sold my son the ticket found him in the queue later and gave him £2 change! So the ticket cost face value! Very promsy!

@maltravers My son is studying maths at university but plays the piano and guitar. He sees music as a pastime/hobby.

Really wish I'd gone!

Just couldn't afford it. I would have needed a hotel.

@armlump DS is staying with a university friend. Have you listened to the performance tonight on the radio? I listened to hear DS clapping 👏 👏 👏 It on TV on Wednesday. Not the same as being there.

Aww that is really nice to hear. The regulars do tend to be a kindly bunch and many would have seem themselves reflected in your ds, having prommed themselves at that age. Hope he enjoyed it. Not expecting dh home much before midnight, trains permitting!

Ha ha, the £2 change is very sweet! I hope he enjoyed the prom and good luck with his studies (and musical hobbies).
