Fragmin injections

I’ve recently had a baby and need to inject Fragmin for the first 6 weeks.
I’m really struggling with them. I have a needle fear and find them painful so my partner is doing them for me, but the pain is horrendous after. It feels like they have been injected in muscle which I know they aren’t supposed to, but it is in the correct areas the leaflet shows to administer them.
When DP goes back to work next week I will have to inject myself somehow as there is nobody else to help me. It takes me an hour to get the courage to allow my partner to do them at the moment, so I don’t know how I will give them to myself. I’m tempted to stop taking them although admittedly I don’t know the risks involved in that option.
My midwife said I could go to hospital each day for a nurse to do them, but it will take a huge chunk of time out of my days and plus it’s a waste of their time and resources.
Does anyone know any shortcuts to make it easier? And if I’m allowed to change the time they are taken? It’s currently done at 10am but if I can move them to 7pm when my partner is home it may get easier over time, as I know for certain I can’t do it myself. Feeling very sore and battered and running out of space that isn’t bruised, is it safe to inject there still?
Hoping someone can help with these questions as my midwife didn’t seem to have a clue unfortunately. Thanks

Theres a points score we (anaesthetist) or surgeons do to determine risk. Once you get above 3 or 4 ticks (hospital dependent) you're deemed higher than average clot risk so have to have 6 weeks instead of the 10days

Why is everyone saying pinch your skin and inject at an angle? The nurse told me not to do either of those, you sit up right and just simply inject, no pinching or touching whatsoever. You only inject at an angle if your injecting a child, it's 90 degrees for an adult and 45 (angled) for a child.

I had to have fragmin injections for 5 months of my pregnancy and then 6 weeks after. The only place I could inject myself was in my thigh. I also had to inject insulin daily I'm never having kids again the thought of having to inject again terrifies me.

In the hospital the nurse injected them in my arm and that was so painful I don't recommend it.
