2 nights away without my 15 month old baby

Hey everyone,

My DH (he's American) and I live in Lisbon, Portugal, and for his birthday, I bought tickets for a concert his favorite American singer is doing in London (since his European tour doesn't include Lisbon). The concert is in October. Our baby will be 15 months old in October and our plan is to go on a Wednesday morning and come back Friday evening, meaning we will be away for 2 nights (but of course basically 3 full days) without him.

My parents live right below us, they are young grandparents and the baby is with them every day, so we know they'll take care of my baby brilliantly well + my sister and her husband (who live very close by and are with the baby often), will spend those three days helping my parents and playing a lot with the baby as well, etc.. I'm making sure my baby is full of love and being taken care of by people he loves and is with all the time.

Still, I'm scared my baby will miss me, wonder where I am, even though I'm planning on facetiming a lot for him to see him. He is very attached to me although he always does great and is having fun/is happy when I have to spend longs portions of the day away. Do you guys think that he will have abandonment issues because of this trip? Am I being ott? Or do I have reasons to be concerned and should change my plans?

TIA

Baby will be fine in that set up.

Just imagine you had to go away for work/operation/2nd baby being born. It'll be harder, emotionally, for you, than for your baby who will be spoilt rotten and loving their sleepover. (My eldest was away from my for 3 nights whilst I was in hospital having my 2nd when he was 22 months old, he loved his little holiday! It was quite an adventure for him)

As long as you know he will be happy and looked after, you know how he is if you leave him with your parents, then you know if he'll be ok.
