Any dentists on here? Question about hospital referral

Hi, I was due to have my wisdom tooth removed but unfortunately the local anaesthetic wouldn’t work. The dentist tried pulling the tooth and then cutting it in half but wasn’t able to proceed as I was in pain. They did a quick white filling on the wisdom tooth for the meantime.

They referred me to hospital to have the extraction done and mentioned I was a nervous patient too. Is it likely that the quick white filling will be ok in the meantime, or will it fall out. I’m worried to eat on that side in case I dislodge it.

they also mentioned I should probably have the molar in front of the tooth removed due fo decay, will the hospital do that too whilst doing the wisdom tooth? I’m really sad about it as I’m only in my 20s, I take great care of my teeth and have no other fillings or issues.

also what is the likelihood of having the tooth out under GA? The attempted extraction was really upsetting, and I’ve found the whole process really stressful and difficult. I suspect I’m autistic, and the sensory aspect has been overwhelming.

Sorry this post is a bit muddled, but thank you in advance if you’re able to give any advice

In the area I work you would be able to have both teeth taken out at the same time under GA or sedation but only if thats what your dentist has written on the referal. They cant do anything not requested by the reffering practitioner so check if both have been put on. If you're a healthy adult sedation would be offered routinely, you'd have to explain why you felt GA was needed (nothing major, just enough to justify the risk vs the benefit eg your sensory issues, its a difficult tooth and that you understand the risks). In our area the wait for sedation is considerably shorter then GA, I think that's the case in most places. Some areas won't offer a GA for a healthy adult and a routine extraction. Sounds like yours is more difficult then routine so should be justifiable. Your dentist will know what's usually avaliable in your area.
