I can’t work but don’t get PIP can I just explain my diagnosis and show the reports ? Will I then be able to be put in the LCWRA group ?

You don't have to get PIP to claim LCWRA.

To be assessed for work capability on UC you will need to report your health conditions if you haven't already, and then submit sick / fit notes. After 29 days of submitting sick notes you should be referred for a work capability assessment. You will be sent a form to complete and then you will have an assessment. There are 3 possible outcomes from this assessment. 1. You are found fit for work. 2. You are awarded LCW which means you do not have to work search currently but may be expected to take steps to get back to work. 3. You are awarded LCWRA which means they consider you not fir for any kind of work so you have no work commitments and get extra £390 per month on your UC claim. It is important to fill out the UC50 form in as much details as possible and send medical reports etc with the form. It is not a quick process and can take a few months. it is not necessary to be receiving PIP as PIP and LCWRA assess different things.

I think it depends on area but most seem to be by phone or face to face. In my area it's the PIP assessments that tend to be done either by phone or home visit.

I think when you complete the UC50 form there is space to say if getting to an assessment centre is going to be difficult for you for example you have mobility problems or can't leave the house due to severe anxiety or agrophobia.

Thank you that’s good to know. I struggle with face to face as one of my issues is selective mutism (I have ASD and ADHD)
