Any advice please? She’s only going for the day and will be in a group with three friends, all girls. I’ve just been reading some of the horror stories about the festival and I’m a bit worried now!

She’s mature and very sensible but also completely inexperienced in this sort of environment. We live about a half hour drive from the festival site, so intending to pick her up at the end, but the things I’m reading are making me question the safety of it. There’s no way I’d stop her going but I think my nerves will be in shreds…

The Leeds Fest is a right of passage for Yorkshire teens and from 16 and for the weekend at nearly 18 and for the day? Loosen those apron strings mum x

Is it too late to volunteer as a festival Angel? That way you’ll be doing your bit to support the kids attending but will also be on hand if required? I think most of the problems happen on Sunday night in the campsite.
It’s a bit of a rite of passage in this area now? I’m sure she’ll have a great time!

My DSD was spiked with a needle at Reading. Spent all day Monday in hospital. Waiting for blood results.

@bobisbored sorry to hear that, how awful Flowers

Leeds fest went pretty smoothly for us, gather that some of the scarier parts of last year (tents being set on fire etc) didn't happen, although DS has his hired portable charger snatched so lost his deposit for that on the Friday. Apart from that, he had a great time.
