Preventing bullying- new school

Dd is starting a new school in September y10 so for gcses. They have been homeschooling for the last 2 year's due due to bullying.
Is there anything I/we can do to prevent it happening again in the new school?
They are a 5ft slight child who identifies as male. Probably adhd/autism ( on waiting list for assessment) and dyslexic.

They have niche fixations/hobbies not usual teenage things.
Is going to happen again isn't it?

It will depend on the school and also how the dynamic in the group is.
You can’t predict it. Just keep an eye. That’s all you can do.

Not necessarily.
Let's be hopeful! My DD got hassled by boys (also slight and non gender conformity btw) in yrs 7 and 8 but by year 10 it had pretty much stopped. The boys grew up, she is more confident, they're all more focused on GCSE'S by that time.
What is the new school like? Some places are definitely better than others for non conforming kids.

I would advise your child to not tell others he was bullied at his old school as he will be then seen as an easy target by others and there life will be hell all over again . I know from experience. If it starts again stamp on it asap and encourage your child to speak up asap. Go straight to the head if necessary .

Yep. Being willing to report any issues was helpful for us. School were supportive.
Bullies thrive on 'don't snitch'
I hope it goes well for them.
