I want a Booth's and Cranston's in mine,

There are no Booth's or Cranston's in my area and I'm going to miss them when we leave.

I love Waitrose and M&S but I need a Booth's please.

What would you have in your area if you could?

I wish we had a department store nearer than sixty miles away since Debenhams shut down .

biedrona · 16/08/2023 20:55

gail's

Ellemeg82 · 16/08/2023 20:56

A bakery that isn't Greggs!

LittleG69 · 16/08/2023 21:02

A Uniqlo and a Booths in Nottingham please

ChocHotolate · 16/08/2023 21:05

B&M and Home Bargains, they don't seem to exist much in London I guess because the rents are too high to make much profits

annahay · 16/08/2023 21:08

Honestly I'd be really happy with a cheap and cheerful family friendly pub/restaurant! We are in a strange village which is basically just a large housing estate with a village shop and a community centre.

It'd be great if there was a Lidl somewhere nearby too.

Thighdentitycrisis · 16/08/2023 21:21

@ChocHotolate

100% agree
we used to have a Woolworths now it’s miles to even find Wilko and not much hope for them. No B and M either.

Bubbles254 · 16/08/2023 21:23

Deli
Fishmongers
Vietnamese restaurant
Organic farm shop
Things wise I would love some mountains to look up at with a cable car to keep my 3 year old happy, some forests, lakes and empty beaches.

CandleWick4 · 16/08/2023 21:28

Morrisons. We don’t have one anywhere near us and around Christmas they seem to have some decent offers on and I always feel like we’re missing out!

coronafiona · 16/08/2023 21:29

John Lewis, white company and white stuff. But this is a small town so it's unlikely Grin

Maryandherlamb · 16/08/2023 21:30

I'd like a bakery and a book shop on our small high street. We have a shop that does chocolate based bakes but fresh bread would be lovely.

Coronationstation · 16/08/2023 21:34

I don’t even know what Cranstons is! I have a butchers, sourdough bakers and fishmongers (and Waitrose) within walking distance but never really use any of them
because I work full time and have weekend commitments which mean it’s a lot easier and cheaper to just do one big supermarket shop. Aside from the fact that basics in Waitrose are more expensive than other supermarkets.

dizzydizzydizzy · 16/08/2023 21:37

A clothes shop.

Charlotteowensdodgydad · 16/08/2023 22:24

Waitrose
M and S
John Lewis
naice independent coffee shops
Any kind of decent department store
Northern Town of 300k people but town centre on its last legs. We now just have charity shops, vape stores, dodgy pop ups.
What’s all the love for Booths ? It’s just a much more expensive Waitrose.

whathappenedtosummer23 · 16/08/2023 22:26

What is booths or cranstons?

AmoebicSquid · 16/08/2023 22:31

A Morrisons and an independent bakers please. Do fed up of charity shops, barbers and coffee shops

gettingoldisshit · 16/08/2023 22:36

Proper old fashioned bakery, butcher and greengrocer!

gettingoldisshit · 16/08/2023 22:40

Ellemeg82 · 16/08/2023 20:56

A bakery that isn't Greggs!

We have literally just got a gregs and im so happy to have it! My town is full of poncy " artisan" bakers like Ole & Steen and Gails!

NormaSnickers · 16/08/2023 22:42

IKEA! I love a wander around there but our closest is a 2.5hr drive

TragicMuse · 16/08/2023 22:42

Ikea. Our nearest one is HOURS away. We had a ridiculous ordering point for a while, it was absolutely shit. No marketplace, no knackebrod, no fish in a tube, nothing fun. It was disappointment in shop form.

NotMeNoNo · 16/08/2023 22:43

LittleG69 · 16/08/2023 21:02

A Uniqlo and a Booths in Nottingham please

And a Leon please. Since Philpotts closed.

BasiliskStare · 16/08/2023 22:47

@whathappenedtosummer23 Booths is like a better Waitrose ( IMHO ) - but as others have said Northern based. Lovely one near Ulverston - Lytham St Annes has one - not sure where else

Had a lovely walk around the Ulverston Booths yesterday 😊 It's been a while despite only living 10 mins away. They've a nice little gift area now selling all things country and Herdy 🐑

Crispynoodle · 16/08/2023 23:28

Crispynoodle · 16/08/2023 23:32
