With heavy bags...!

It's been ages since I was near Euston station but as I remember it has plenty of places to eat/drink nearby so maybe a good book and a coffee followed by lunch?

SmartHome · 12/08/2023 22:13

lots going on at Coal Drops Yard - shops, bars, restaurants etc just upmfrom Euston and Kings Cross, by the canal. Leave bags in lockers or left luggage?

Kirova · 12/08/2023 22:14

British Library exhibition, if you're into that sort of thing? Plus they have a free cloakroom!

whatthebejesus · 12/08/2023 22:14

Leave the bags at the station!

BangingOn · 12/08/2023 22:14

The Wellcome Collection usually have something interesting to see and is right opposite the station. There are some luggage storage facilities around if you’d rather leave your bags.

Welcome Foundation.

RandomMess · 12/08/2023 22:16

Use left luggage and walk to Euston or Coal drops yard

whiteroseredrose · 12/08/2023 22:17

DD had the same issue a couple of years ago and went to the Everyman cinema

SunnieShine · 12/08/2023 22:18

And a buffet at Drummond Street.

AlltheFs · 12/08/2023 22:18

I would do British Library too. I love it there.

Pinkbakerscap · 12/08/2023 22:19

Another recommendation for the wellcome museum. I loose hours in the reading room on the top floor which has lovely sofas and bean bags btw. I am very much into history of medicine though.

Whataretheodds · 12/08/2023 22:20

Agree Wellcome Collection and/or British Library

Wnikat · 12/08/2023 22:20

Wellcome trust is over the road

LBOCS2 · 12/08/2023 22:20

Drop your bags off at left luggage (if there isn't one at Euston there's definitely one at St Pancras) then head up to coal drops yard, the British library, or the Wellcome Collection.

Or just go and have afternoon tea and champagne at Searcy's champagne bar in St P?

Sooze2023 · 12/08/2023 22:22

Any of the above and the British Library. Also some really good reasonable Indian places for buffets (a lot are vegetarian) just behind the station on Drummond Street.

RandomMess · 12/08/2023 22:24

There is a lovely Malaysian restaurant very close too.
