Are there any suitable crafts for someone like me?

I have dyspraxia so my coordination is poor and I also have nerve damage in my hands so I can't do anything repetitive for too long without pain and sewing is too fiddly due to poor grip and too difficult.

I know it seems like a tall order but I'd love to find a craft that I can do to relax and keep me off my phone.

Any ideas would be welcome.

TIA

Can you hold pens/pencils? Maybe adult colouring

Jigsaws? Not craft as such, but passes time

Card making? Paper pumpkin (and I'm sure there are others out there) have a kit set to start you off.... you really can't go wrong to begin with!

You might be able to crochet with adaptive hooks, and by adjusting your technique so you move your wrists more than your fingers.

Making mosaics with tiles maybe.

Painting.
I have zero talent, but just getting paint on paper is good fun

Maybe printing with blocks or potatoes? making cards, wrapping paper or printing or stencilling on to fabric (T-shirts, scarves, bags). Tie dying using the washing machine?

What about marbling? Where you pour different coloured oils onto water and make different patterns, then lay paper on top to pick up the pattern. You can get kits.

Scrapbooking! This is so much fun and requires zero skill (which is good, as I have none!). All you need is a notebook and some general bits of crap you'd put in the bin or recycling (pamphlets, cards, colourful bits of paper, the scraps of wrapping paper, letters, catalogues and brochures), scissors and glue. Then just rip, cut and stick in any order or way you like and voila! If you want some inspiration, search for scrapbooking or junk journalling on YouTube or tik tok and watch a few videos. I actually love watching arty people do it as theirs always looks lovely, but it's fun and easy to try yourself too.

In a similar vein to scrapbooking - decoupage.

Felting! Bonus is you can stab things. I have very poor fine motor skills but can manage felting well.

Tablet weaving - you can get (or make) tablets as big as is comfortable to hold.

It can be repetitive, but if you do it on a frame you can stop and start as much as you like.

@Clefable means needle felting, not wet felting, btw. But you'd need to grip the needle securely and stab in the right place.

Rock painting. I’m rubbish at art but I love painting a rock and leaving it for someone to find. Brings a smile to the finder too. I’ve joined a couple of Facebook groups, look at other peoples art and see who’s found what. I’m going to do some today.
